The Streetwise Couriers

(Not an amphibious vehicle) Click for larger view
Everyday, rain or shine, seven days a week, Johnny Air Remittance Couriers are always out in force, always in pursuit of determination on bringing your remittance, safe and sound.

Underneath their windbreakers and helmets, the only agony they endure on the road are the heat and fumes coming from the sun and nearby vehicles, the wrath of the monsoon or changing phase of rain patterns, and the flood all over the Metro which lacks sewerage system.

One of the Couries. Joey, but we call
him "Tsong" (Don't ask why)

When the couriers are out under a hot beaming sun, sometimes, a softdrink (bottled soda) is all they can count on. Sometimes, nothing at all. And when there's flood, a higher ground like a gasoline station is all they can rely on, waiting for the water to subside, all they can do is stare and watch the river-like road as ripples come and go (I'll never forget Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. corner Dian Street Makati! If you're driving and it's raining with a possible flood, especially if you happen to be around Makati, do not advance your vehicle towards this location! Don't say I didn't warn you. Lol).

The relentless job that they do everyday, even on weekends and holidays, never ends. Beneficiaries require their remittance delivered on time. So that's what they do. They'll forget about softdrinks just to keep them going. And when there's flood, it can be anticipated. They'll look for another route (sorry, their motorcycles are not to withstand flood. And it's not an amphibious vehicle either).

These couriers are streetwise. They know every parts and corners of Metro Manila on the back of their hands. And they're aware of the imminent danger they're facing everyday. Specially in areas where the delinquents have become ubiquitous. When we send out our couriers at these areas, we negotiate a compromise. We'll let our couriers decide to meet a client on a specific safe location. Either way, we would protect your remittance, and our men as well (our couriers are not licensed gun men to deal with a delicate situation, lol).

Couriers are the most honest, reliable, trustworthy person when it comes to money. They will never, EVER, steal or take away any part of it. They are committed in serving you and the company with great loyalty and respect. They won't ask for a tip, just a simple smile and warm appreciation will do.

This is your fellow blogger, now signing off. Get ready for another chapter, soon, 'coz ... HERE COMES JOHNNY!
